Students at Community Hills Early Learning Center (CHELC), 85 Irvine Turner Boulevard, Newark, participated in the school’s Black History Month program on Feb. 24. The children wore Black History Month colors and performed for family members in the audience. Classes sang songs, recited poetry, danced and performed a skit, recognizing Black figures and their contributions as well as echoing a message of diversity and inclusion.
