Lazy Summer Days? Not with NCC Summer Programs Post author:Michelle Lang Post published:September 19, 2014 Post category:Latest News Post comments:0 Comments Under the direction of Youth Services Director Edward Morris, summer camp counselors workedwith about 110 youth to provide a fun-filled summer. In addition to camp, Youth Services hosted 22 teens as part of its Summer Youth Employment and Enrichment Program, where students take college tours, get resume tips and career counseling and intern in various departments around NCC. Students filled their summer vacation with educational activities, arts and crafts, weekly field trips and sportssuch as swimming at New Community’s Summer Camp, which is organized by the Youth Services Department. Above, students played with a parachute during the first day of camp held at the New Community Neighborhood Center on Hayes Street. Students and staff organized a talent show for this year’s Summer Camp Finale that highlighted Broadway’s greatest hits and included songs from musicals such as The Lion King, High School Musical, Dream Girls, Annie, Motown and Stomp.
