New Community’s After School Program at the New Community Neighborhood Center, 56-68 Hayes St., Newark, begins on Sept. 6 and runs each school day from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

Children in kindergarten through eighth grade will participate in a variety of activities, including homework help,  S.T.E.A.M., arts and crafts, reading, sports and fitness and special projects.
