New Community thanks Wendy Williams for making a generous donation of $1,000 to NCC’s Emergency Food Pantry. Williams, who is known for her talk show fame, made the contribution through her charity known as the Hunter Foundation, which she founded with her husband, Kevin Hunter, and their son. The Hunter Foundation’s contribution will help provide hunger relief to hundreds of seniors and families who visit the Emergency Food Pantry located at 220 Bruce St. in Newark. The Emergency Food Pantry is open starting the 16th of each month and items are distributed until the supply runs out. The Hunter Foundation supports programs and initiatives that “impact the cycle of drug addiction, poverty, and bias.” For information on the pantry, contact Health and Social Services at 973-623-6114.
