Music, dance, poetry and song filled the air as New Community held its Hispanic Heritage Celebration today, bringing together residents from all eight of its senior buildings and family residences in Newark, Orange and Jersey City for a fun-filled afternoon. The event, attended by about 200 people and held at Commons Senior in Newark, also featured a variety of foods from the Latino culture. The celebration, coordinated by NCC’s Dept. of Health and Social Services, was enjoyed by all!
